WHAT IS CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the main active compounds (also known as cannabinoids) found in cannabis, accounting for roughly 40% of the plant's extract. Cannabis contains at least 113 different cannabinoids, all of which interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system whenever we smoke, vaporize, or ingest cannabis.

Some of the other major compounds found in cannabis (apart from CBD) include tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, responsible for producing the psychoactive effects of cannabis), cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabicyclol (CBL).

OUR CANNABIDOL

From seed to finished product, our MultiSpectrum Hemp Oil™ ensures you get the full benefit of the hemp plant’s valuable oil. Unlike isolated or synthetic cannabinoids, our full-spectrum hemp oil delivers the range of phytocannabinoids present in the original hemp plant, as nature intended. That means our hemp oil supplements may provide what’s been identified as the “entourage effect”, in which all of the oil’s components work together for maximum benefit.

SUGGESTED USE

*Phytocannabinoids are vitally important for aiding day-to-day bodily function as they help regulate the following:

  • Sleep
  • Appetite
  • Digestion
  • Hunger
  • Mood

Cannabinoid receptors are found all throughout the body, giving them a wide variety of functions. However, certain receptors are more concentrated in specific regions. CB1 receptors are abundant in the central nervous system. CB2 receptors are more often found on immune cells, in the gastrointestinal tract, and in the peripheral nervous system.

Phytocannabinoids are great for the human body and human health. These cannabinoids occur naturally in the cannabis plant. The classical cannabinoids are formed through decarboxylation of their respective 2-carboxylic acids (2-COOH), a process which is catalyzed by heat, light or alkaline conditions.
